|The fifth "official" day of creation is in Genesis 1:20-23. In this day, God created life as we know it. He created ALL animals of the sea and birds of the air.
20 Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.”
21 God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
22 God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day."
|God now creates and demands water animals to be fruitful and multiply. The animals of the deep will include ALL the animals, fish, vegetation, snails, and yes, even sea monsters and dinasaurs. Here is the next time God uses the phrase "after their kind". First it was for vegetation. Now God is creating living creatures. God seems to have seen the controversy of evolution and same days. So He specifically states that the "be fruitful and multiply" but multiply after their own kinds. This is a very special and important phrase. It is very clear that all reproduction was to be protected and reproduction was to be of their own species. Therefore, there was no vertical movement in the life strain. In other words, a cat cannot become dog and a cat. There are changes in the horizontal life strain. In other words, you can have several kinds of dogs or several kinds of cats.
God said it was good! Good handiwork.
Now ends the morning and Evening. God saw that it was good
